Tooting Bec Lido Sport Facilities
Tooting Bec Lido is one of the best sport facilities in the UK. Located in South West London, the 116-year-old facility offers one of the largest outdoor swimming pools in the city, and the best of it is open to the public during the summer months.
The pool has plenty of room for swimmers to splash about in, and it is ideal for children and adults who are serious about their fitness. During the summer, the pool is a popular destination for locals and tourists. It is also a popular location for advertorial “shoots”.
When the pool was first opened in 1906, the South London Swimming Club (SLSC) commissioned its construction. The SLSC’s scheme involved the demolition of the southern entrance structure and the creation of a new, larger entrance and new cubicles.
The SLSC has been a partner in the refurbishment of Tooting Bec Lido since 1999. They have contributed PS100,000 towards the project. This money will help fund the replacement of the existing pump house, and improve the landscaping around the water’s edge. A new UV water purification system is also planned.
Hampton Court Park
Hampton Court Park in Greater London is home to one of the world’s best formal gardens. The park’s green space is a whopping 866,552 square metres, with a waterline of 14,642.

The park is also home to the largest grape vine in the world, which grows on the grounds. Visitors can also visit a haunted gallery and sample some period dishes.

Moors Valley Country Park

The park has several play structures and a Go Ape tree top adventure trail. There are also picnic areas and a visitor centre. In addition, there are walking and cycling trails.

Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre

Bisham Abbey

The National Sports Centre at Bisham Abbey is located just a 15-minute walk from the centre of Marlow. The centre provides elite athletes with training facilities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, Hammer Strength equipment and a 90-station fitness suite. In addition, the centre has an Intensive Rehabilitation Unit run in partnership with the British Olympic Association.
