It covers three counties: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire This region within the Forest of Dean has some serious claims to fame from the past. It was the hunting area of King Henry VIII’s forest, and its mysterious and magical surroundings inspired to the Tolkien books. 
Therefore, you can anticipate stunning views and something unique from this particular location.Take a stroll along the water’s edge at Mallards Pike Lake, where you’ll find a cafe where you can refresh. Plan a day out of it.
There are lots of running and walking routes. With such a diverse scenery and terrain and scenery, the Forest of Dean is cycling heaven. 
There’s something to suit road cyclists and mountain bikers looking to explore off-road and downhill, quickly. If you’re staying for the entire day, we suggest having a picnic at an edge of the lake.
